9 weeks!!!

And here's a MRI photo at 9 weeks, starting to look more and more like a little baby!

"Your baby is growing like crazy during pregnancy week 9. By now, most of the aspects of your baby's physical structure, such as head, arms, legs, and torso are in place. If you were to peek in on your little one, you'd find they resemble a miniature human being (one with a very large head!). Because your baby's organs and limbs are forming, in the next few weeks, your baby will be putting on weight. Your baby's tail should have disappeared by now, and your baby's organs and muscles should be functioning on their own. It's hard to believe that something so small can function so completely, isn't it! At 9 weeks pregnant, your baby's eyelids will fuse shut and won't open up again until your baby is about 27 weeks along. Your baby's face is becoming more distinct every day, with the mouth, nose and nostrils becoming clearly visible."

Feeling a little better today, little sick this morning. Went to a baby names website, only made it through letter D, but sent Nick some names I liked. I really have a feeling it's a boy, don't know why. All I really want is a healthy baby.

Are you feeding a 12 year old?

Food cravings definitely started to kick in this week (as well as food aversion). Some of the items on my grocery store list were: Lucky Charms (duh), Snack Packs (3 different pudding flavors packs), yogurt, strawberries, spaghetti-o's (not lying), juice, oranges, sharp cheddar cheese and candy........

Baby's First Gifts

 

Baby Lanham got his/her first gifts from Grandma & Grandpa Whittle :) So exciting!! P.S. We love gifts, who doesn't right?!

180 & growing!

 

Our little baby doesn't look like much more than a blob today, but we could see the little heartbeat flickering and hear the heartbeat! So exciting and such a special moment we got to share. All babies do have big heads right now but my Uncle John laughed & said the baby had a big head....hmmmm.....who has a big head...

8 weeks!

Baby's now the size of a raspberry!
Baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs, and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.- The Bump

Still a lot of cramping and nausea this week and I am starting to feel pretty scared. I can't help but have this awful feeling that something is wrong with the baby. Sorry, I know that is terrible to say. So much anxiety. Last night, Nick told me his best friend's wife is having a baby too. We are about 2 weeks apart. It will be nice to have someone going through it the first time as well. Nick said he wanted to hug Dane he was so happy, since this is kinda Nick's first time going through a pregnancy.

Next week we get to meet our doctor, Mable Roberts. I am super excited! I need to come up with a game plan to tell my NC family, hopefully we can Skype, much more personal than the phone. My mom is going to get a pregnancy scrapbook started and Doug is so excited, what a wonderful feeling to have the support of family. 

P.S. Baby Lanham: I am not going to lie to you, I totally cheated and had a cherry coke yesterday. I thought it would be ah-mazing, it wasn't - won't happen again. Love you more every single day!

Cheese Dip, no, Lucky Charms, no...

The cravings are slowly revving up, only I crave it for like a minute then I don't want food anymore. Of course, I still get cramps after I eat as well. This is all pretty normal behavior around 8 weeks.

Food I have been craving: BBQ wings from Buffalo Bobs w/ blue cheese & celery, Lucky Charms, Fruit Juices, beer cheese dip and watermelon

I have yet to fulfill any of these requests, waiting for someone to do it for me :)
